Learn the skill of fully meeting this moment

Human Engaged turns “be present” from vague advice into practical skills you can learn, practise, and measure.

I did not need another retreat.
I needed a way to find that depth on a Tuesday

Tell me if this sounds about right.

You have probably touched it already.

On a retreat. Deep in a long sit. Out on a hill. That state where the mental noise drops away, everything gets vivid and simple, and you feel completely here.

Then Monday happens. The depth fades, the noise comes back, and the standard advice is more hours on the cushion. As if depth only lives in silence and you have to commute there.

We think that advice is wrong. The state is closer than the effort story suggests. What is missing is a set of skills for reaching it inside a normal, noisy, busy day. Those skills can be taught, and they are quicker to learn than anyone expects.

Ancient Wisdom Combined with Tactical Scientific Learning Approach.

Plain language

No guru theatre, no Sanskrit homework, no woo. If a smart 16 year old cannot follow the instruction, we rewrite the instruction.

Micro dosed practice.

The core move is the 7 Second Return. Small enough that resistance never gets a vote, repeated enough that it reshapes your day.

Measured honestly

Every session and every course uses a validated research scale for non dual awareness, taken before, after, and four weeks later. We publish what we find, including the stuff that does not work. No enlightenment promises. Just data, and your own direct experience.

About Richard

Human Engaged was started by Richard. Trained meditation teacher, coach for over ten years, author of three books, and allergic to guru theatre. He spent years watching people touch something real in practice and then lose it in daily life, and got obsessed with fixing that.

The method draws on non dual awareness practice, attention training and current contemplative research, with open credit to the teachers and researchers it builds on. Nothing here is claimed as ancient secret knowledge. It is good technique, taught clearly, and tested in the open.
